![]() ![]() Wuhu Loop (Wuhu Island Loop): A track where you drive around Wuhu Island from Wii Sports Resort. It even has references to Super Mario Bros 2 on the NES, one of the most forgotten and unappreciated Mario games. This course takes place at night, in a bazaar (an Arabian marketplace), which is already amazing. But this isn't the case for Shy Guy Bazaar. I probably couldn't even tell you the difference beteen Dry Dry Desert and Desert Hills if you asked me. In general, most desert tracks in Mario Kart feel the same. Shy Guy Bazaar: This game's desert themed track. You also are much floatier making you play differently then you would above land. This game cares about detail so much that you get a propeller on the back of your kart whenever you are underwater. Rather than dying like in previous Mario Kart games, you are encouraged to drive under water and that is how much of the track takes place. But as soon as you jump off off the boardwalk after the first turn you go underwater. At the start, it may seem like a standard beach track like Cheep Cheep Beach from Mario Kart DS. So much better than other farm tracks like Moo Moo Farm or Moo Moo Meadows.Ĭheep Cheep Lagoon: A great way to introduce the underwater driving gimmick. At the end of the track you even fly between hot air balloons and then trick off of a fountain after landing. Toad Circuit: What may seem like your standard starter track, but with giant Toad balloons, and the parts of the track changing during the course, such as a glider ramp appearing lap 2, as a perfect way to introduce gliding.ĭaisy Hills: A farm track that takes place in a village as well. ![]() (Some of the tracks have different names in Europe then North America, so I have inculded the European names fo those tracks in parentheses.) Let me review the track selection for you. This game's track seletion is by FAR the best in the series. Sure it has a lot of flaws, such as the strange character roster with characters like Honey Queen replacing slots of fan favorites like Waluigi, lack of a single-player VS mode, and the poor selection of battle stages, but that is demolished by one thing: the track selection. Sure it was on the 3DS so it wasn't as powerful as some of it's console predecessors. Sure it doesn't have as interesting of gimmicks as Double Dash!! or Wii, or as great of visuals as 8/8 Deluxe. Even though I have the nostalgia factor for Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, DS, and Wii, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe looks a lot better, this game is actually my favorite game in the entire series. This game is PHENOMONAL! I've always been a huge fan of the Mario Kart series. Which Side of History?
